Zion Native Flute School Learn From The Best Instructors In The Nation!
Immerse yourself in the tonal beauty, history and culture of the Native American flute by attending technique courses and special sessions presented by some of the most notable instructors and performers in the country. The Flute School will provide enriching experiences for flute players of all levels, from the newest beginner to the seasoned, advanced player.
These
flute blanks feature a solid piece of wood, line
bored to maintain a single piece flute body. Then
your flute blank's basic shape is turned on a
lathe, providing...near perfect symmetry and wall
thickness, important elements of building a high
quality flute.
Once again, the Zion Canyon Flute Circle, The Arizona Flute
Circle and The City of Ivins, presents the
5th annual Zion Art And Flute Festival a world flute and art event. Mark your calendar today because
you will not want to miss out this spectacular event.
The festival event will begin Friday May 15th at 9:00 am and continuing through 5:00 pm Sunday,
art enthusiast, world flute enthusiast and friends of the Native
Flute will gather together in Ivins Utah, to browse
art and flute vendor booths, to listen and play Native
flute music, attend workshops, learn from each other and share
our art, our music and passion with each other.
What? A gathering of world flute recording artist performing live
on stage with fine artist, flute makers and native artist displaying
their original work.
When? May 15th, 16th, 17th, 2009.
Where? Unity Park in Ivins Utah. Evening Concerts
are held close by at the
Time? Festival: Friday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday 9:30 am to 5:00
pm, Sunday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Evening Concert will be Saturday
evening with a prelude performances beginning at 7:00 pm and
the main concerts beginning at 7:30 pm, a 10 minute intermission
at 8:30 and ending at about 9:55 pm.
Cost? Admission per day to the Festival is $1.00 per person per day. Children under 12 are free. This fee is collected by the Zion Festival to assist in covering the expenses of running the Festival. A few of the workshops offered are free of charge
and some information workshops are $10 per person and the advanced
workshops offered are $40 per person. The evening concerts $29.50 to $39.50.
Weather? The weather in May is warm with an average
temperatures in the 80's for a high and 70's degrees for an
evening low.
Ivins Utah
Ivins Utah is located in Southern Utah next to St George, and is the gateway to Snow Canyon State Park. Many of the trails are paved
allowing for handicap access.
